What is Contrast Therapy?
Boost Muscle Recovery and Detox with our Private Sauna and Cold Plunge
Contrast therapy alternates between heat and cold treatments to promote recovery and improve circulation. Heat therapy, such as infrared sauna use, dilates blood vessels, increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and helps remove toxins through sweating. Cold therapy, like ice baths, constricts blood vessels, reduces inflammation and swelling while numbing pain, and offers relief from soreness or injury.
The alternating hot and cold cycles stimulate a “pumping effect,” encouraging blood flow and nutrient delivery to muscles while flushing out metabolic waste. This process speeds up recovery, reduces muscle tension, and helps prevent delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Athletes often use contrast therapy both before and after workouts to improve flexibility, manage pain, and accelerate recovery.

What to Expect
Before Your Session
Private Room:
Upon arrival, a staff member will guide you to your contrast therapy room, which is equipped with a private sauna and cold plunge tank.
Preparation:
We will guide you through the entire process and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Towels Provided:
Towels will be provided for your comfort and convenience.
During Your Session
Infrared Sauna:
You will start with about 15-20min in the IR Sauna to promote sweat and detoxification. While operating at temperatures lower than a traditional sauna – typically around 55°C – the infrared heat penetrates deep into the skin.
Cold Plunge:
After coming out of the sauna, you will move into a private cold plunge at around 8°C for 2-3 minutes. This rapid change in temperature helps to stimulate blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and invigorate your body.
Repeat:
You can then repeat the steps according to how you feel. Remember not to push yourself too hard, and listen to your body’s signals.
After Your Session
Concluding Your Session:
We recommend concluding your therapy session with a cold plunge, which allows your body to gradually return to its natural temperature.
Hydration:
It’s recommended to drink plenty of water both before, during, and after your session to make up for water loss in the sauna.
Results:
While individual experiences may vary, you may feel a sense of increased energy, reduced pain, and improved mood immediately following your session.
